To suppress reduction in prediction accuracy of the life of a weld joint.SOLUTION: A life prediction method of a weld joint is a method for predicting a life of the weld joint having a first piping, a second piping made of a metal different from the first piping, and a welding material connecting the first piping and the second piping. The life prediction method of the weld joint includes: a high temperature load step ST 21 of heating the weld joint up to a high temperature load temperature higher than the normal temperature so as to be maintained for a predetermined time in a state where an axial force in a direction in which the first piping and the second piping separate from each other is applied to the weld joint; and a cooling step ST 23 of cooling the weld joint until a cooling temperature cooler than the high temperature load. The life prediction method of the weld joint further includes: a destruction reproduction process ST 2 of alternately executing a destruction of the weld joint until the weld joint is destructed; and a life calculation process ST 10 of calculating the life in the temperature under the environment installed with the weld joint based on the cumulative time of the high temperature load temperature until the weld joint is destructed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
