PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effectively transporting woody biomass for achieving enhancement of energy security and enhancement of measures against global warming in Japan by making effective utilization of woody biomass available in Japan economically.SOLUTION: A method includes a first process for chipping woody biomass to have average diameter of 10 cm or less, a second process for heating a surface part of chip at 250°C to 450°C, a third process for crushing bamboo and heating a surface part at 250°C to 450°C, a fourth process for mixing the product obtained in the second process and the product obtained in the third process and molding the same, and a fifth process for using the transported product as an energy source. In the fourth process, a ratio for adding the product obtained by crushing and treating bamboo is in a range of 5 to 30% of the whole. The process for using as the energy source in the fifth process is in a coal thermal power station, or in an iron mill for an iron making process or a steel making process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
