The invention relates to an envelope element (100) of a building (1) separating the external environment (E) from the interior medium (I) of the building (1), comprising: a transparent or translucent outer wall (110) adapted to let the solar radiation pass through, - an inner wall (150) integral with the building (1), - a central wall (130) disposed between the outer wall (110) and the inner wall (150), ensuring both the absorption, storage and return of thermal energy from solar radiation transmitted by the outer wall (110), and thermal insulation of the indoor environment (I) of the building (1), - a first air space (120) formed between said outer wall (110) and said central wall (130), and - a second air gap (140) formed between said central wall (130) and said inner wall (150), - first, second and third closable communication means being able to be controlled by a control unit (P) n establishing an air circulation circuit among a plurality of possible air circulation circuits between the external environment (E), said first air space (120), said second air space (140) and the interior environment (I).
