The invention relates to a device for wind turbines for receiving maintenance and service units for maintenance and service work on wind turbines and method for mounting such a device. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a device for wind turbines for receiving maintenance and service units, which does not change the functional integrity of a wind turbine tower or damage it. In addition, it is an object of the invention to provide a method for mounting such a device. The object is achieved by a device for receiving maintenance and service units for wind turbines. The device comprises at least two rings, an inner guard ring and an outer carrier ring. The rings are in contact with each other in such a way that an edge of the outer carrier ring is prevented from being pressed into the wind turbine tower due to forces acting on the outer carrier ring, and this is damaged. The object is also achieved by a method for mounting such a device for existing wind turbines. The object is also achieved by a method for mounting such a device when building a new wind turbine.
