The invention relates to an electrode material for an organic radical battery having at least one stable organic radical and a predeterminable amount of conductive carbon material, comprising: 1.0 to 5.0% by weight, preferably 1.5-3% by weight, especially preferably 1.7-2.5 wt .-% of an electrically conductive carbon material or a mixture of a plurality of electrically conductive carbon materials, - 0.8 to 1.4 wt .-% of a metal salt or a mixture of several metal salts, - 0.5 to 0.9 wt .-% of a complexing agent or a mixture of several complexing agents, - 0.1 to 0.8 wt .-% of a surfactant or a mixture of several surfactants, and - ad 100 wt .-% of a stable organic radical or a mixture of several stable organic radicals. As a stable organic radical (s) is / are poly (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyloxy-4-yl methacrylate) (PTMA), 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1 oxyl (TEMPO) and / or 2,2,5,5-tetramethylpyrrolidin-1-oxyl (PROXYL). The present invention also relates to an organic radical battery comprising an electrode with the electrode material.
