A system and machine-implemented method for wireless network access are provided. An authentication request that includes credentials for a cloud-based service user account is received from a wireless client device. The authentication request is forwarded to a server connected to the cloud-based service for authentication of the user account credentials. A list of one or more network identifiers corresponding to networks for which access is authorized by the cloud-based service user account is received from the server. The received list of the one or more network identifiers is sent to the wireless client device, wherein the received list of the one or more network identifiers is sent to the wireless client device before the wireless client device is linked to the wireless LAN.
