TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a contrast agent for the purpose of lymphadenography including iron oxide nanoparticles dispersed and stabilized by a mussel adhesive protein mimetic copolymer for dispersing nanoparticles in an aqueous medium, and a method for imaging lymph nodes using the contrast agent. The mussel adhesive protein mimetic copolymer is a polyethylene glycol-polyethyleneimine-polypropylene copolymer containing a polyethyleneimine conjugated with a polyethylene glycol-based biocompatible polymer having affinity for a water-based medium and a polyhedra having affinity to the surface of the nanoparticle , The mussel adhesive protein mimetic copolymer was modified to modulate the surface of the iron oxide and dispersed well in water to prepare a colloidal solution and a contrast agent containing the same. This contrast agent has no toxicity and is well immersed in the lymph nodes, exhibiting excellent lymph node imaging and may be useful in the diagnosis of metastatic cancer.
