In the present invention, provided is a method for manufacturing functional socks in which socks comprising bottom units, upper units, ankle units, and ankle elastic units are woven by using a sock knitting machine. The method comprising the following steps: setting one or more specified areas in the bottom units of the socks and weaving the specified areas by using span yarn fiber; weaving boundaries of the specified areas by using highly flexible polyester composite yarn fiber; and weaving areas other than the specified areas and the boundaries of the specified areas by using cotton yarn fiber. The socks manufactured by the method of the present invention do not generate discomfort when a user wears the socks. In addition, as the insides of the socks are smoothly ventilated and moisture such as sweat generated on toes is discharged to the outside in an easy manner, the socks can prevent athletes foot and food odor. In addition, the functional socks, manufactured by the method of the present invention, have ventilation means with excellent durability, and manufacturing costs of the functional socks are not increased.
