Provided is an apparatus for extracting a more proper scene unit keyword by calculating a keyword weight by reflecting the continuity of a scene with regard to a keyword extracted from a script of a scene unit with regard to video contents. The apparatus for extracting a scene unit keyword from video contents according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a keyword extracting unit which extracts the keyword from the script of the scene unit which is an analysis target, a keyword weight calculating unit which calculates the keyword weight according to each scene unit by reflecting the keyword weight in adjacent scenes, and a weight smoothing unit which smooths the keyword weight of one scene to be spread to the adjacent scenes before and after one scene.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
