The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material having a Helmholtz resonance hole capable of absorbing ultrasonic waves. The Helmholtz resonance hole includes a cavity unit of a barrel shape; and a neck unit of the barrel shape with a cross section smaller than that of the cavity unit, wherein the neck unit is connected to the cavity unit. The method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material having the Helmholtz resonance hole includes: a step of forming a base mold in which engraving patterns of a Helmholtz resonance hole structure are arranged on one side of a substrate at intervals through a photolithography process; a step of forming a sound absorbing layer of a film type in which the Helmholtz resonance hole is spaced at intervals on one side by pressing the multiple engraving patterns; and a step of bonding and forming a base layer of the film type on one side of the sound absorbing layer. The engraving patterns of the Helmholtz resonance hole structure include: a cavity unit pattern corresponding to the shape of the cavity unit; and a neck unit pattern corresponding to the shape of the neck unit and formed in the upper part of the cavity unit pattern. The multiple engraving patterns have volume equal to or less than a micro unit. According to the present invention, the method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material can largely reduce manufacture costs and can simplify a manufacture process by having a simple work process of pressing the base mold manufactured by the photolithography process onto one side of film type polymer. Also, the method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material can control the size of the engraving pattern of the base mold and can manufacture the sound absorbing material capable of absorbing ultrasonic waves in various frequency bands. Also, the method for manufacturing a sound absorbing material enables mass production by manufacturing the sound absorbing material by pressing the engraving pattern of the base mold onto the one side of the film type polymer.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
