The present invention relates to a novel compound separated from chestnut honey, and to an antioxidant composition including a chestnut honey extract including the same or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient. The present invention provides a novel compound having an antioxidant activity and isolated from chestnut honey, or provides an antioxidant food composition or a cosmetic composition containing a chestnut extract containing the compound or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient. According to the present invention, a novel compound is separated from domestic chestnut honey, and thus the functional properties of domestic chestnut honey are clarified. Also, physiological activity inspection with respect to the novel material is possible, and the present invention can be used as a marker capable of confirming the origin of domestic chestnut honey.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2017
