The present invention discloses a method of treating total phosphorous sludge, the method comprising the steps of: (a) inducing ionization of an aluminum compound of total phosphorous sludge and crystallization of phosphorous into an HAP (hydrpxyapatite (Ca_5(OH)(PO_4)_3)) form by mixing the total phosphorous sludge containing the aluminum compound, such as AlPO_4 or Al(OH)_3, with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and a calcium compound; and (b) recovering the crystallized HAP from the aluminum total phosphorous sludge in which the ionization of the compound and the crystallization of phosphorous into the HAP form have been induced, and separating supernatant from the remaining sludge from which the crystallized HAP has been recovered. According to the present invention, phosphorous of total phosphorous sludge can be recovered in the form of HAP and then recycled as a phosphate fertilizer, and supernatant can be separated from the remaining sludge from which the crystallized HAP has been recovered and then used as a chemical coagulant in total phosphorous treatment facilities, thereby providing an effect of reducing the amount of total phosphorous sludge.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2016
