The present invention is applicable to the technical field of intelligent televisions. Provided are a method and device for realizing real-time monitoring of a digital television. The television real-time monitoring method comprises: collecting statistics of playing information about a television programme; sending the playing information to an account of a terminal or an application program bound to a unique identification code of a television playing the television programme; receiving a control instruction sent by the terminal; and controlling a playing state of the television according to instruction contents of the control instruction. According to the present invention, a monitoring person can acquire playing information about a television via a terminal, and know the playing condition of a television programme in real time, and a user is allowed to send a control instruction to a television terminal so as to control a playing state of the television.
