The present invention comprises: a placement base (8) on which a bound medium (5) is to be placed in a state in which a spread-out surface (5a) thereof faces upward; a presser (11) that is transparent to allow the spread-out surface (5a) to be seen through and that presses, toward the placement base (8), the spread-out surface (5a) of the bound medium (5) placed on the placement base (8); and a connecting member (16) for, after the presser (11) has started pressing from a binding section area (5c) corresponding to a binding section (5b) of the bound medium (5) within the spread-out surface (5a) and has finished pressing the binding section area (5c), continuously pressing an area other than the binding section area (5c) in a direction away from the binding section area (5c).
