Disclosed are a service transmission method and device based on a structurally configurable frame, network element equipment, and terminal. The service transmission method comprises: after receiving a service request from a requester, determining, by a service provider, and according to a type of a service requested, a format of a transmission frame, and informing the requester of the determined format of the transmission frame, wherein the transmission frame comprises multiple subframes, one subframe comprises one or more transmission time slots, one transmission time slot comprises one or more unit time slots, the unit time slot is the smallest time unit of the transmission frame, one unit time slot comprises one or more data symbols, each unit time slot has the same constant duration, and unit time slots of transmission frames in various formats have different pilot patterns; and adjusting a pilot pattern comprised in the unit time slot according to a length of the transmission time slot, wherein pilot patterns of multiple unit time slots comprised in one transmission time slot are the same or different.
