The object of the invention is to create a new elementary link for constructing objects capable of an "action" namely of a predictable and repetitive movement, by virtue of its link- and minilink-scale articulated anisotropic polyhedral structure. The finite structure of the object is achieved from links of highly variable size (minilinks and microlinks), each link being formed of a central segment extended at each end by a connecting segment which on the one hand acts as a ball joint and on the other hand acts as a node for securing to the ends of the adjacent links. The links are assembled to form variable small-scale articulated anisotropic structures which can progress from articulated mini-edifices to articulated micro-edifices, all imbrocated to obtain an overall object structure that deforms according to a geometrically repetitive programmed movement that can be altered in terms of its motion dynamics.
