A thermolabile enterotoxin of detoxified E. coli (LT) for use in the treatment of airway allergy in a subject by intranasal administration of an amount effective to induce an antiallergic response in the subject, wherein the detoxified LT is LTS61K , which contains a mutated A subunit containing a serine to lysine mutation at the position corresponding to position 61 in SEQ ID NO: 1 and where LTS61K induces the antiallergic response.
