Device of the hybrid supercapacitor type comprises at least one cell comprising: - a porous positive electrode comprising activated carbon; - a negative electrode comprising a carbon material suitable for inserting an alkaline element other than lithium, this carbon material being different from the activated carbon used in the positive electrode; and - a non-aqueous electrolyte comprising a salt chosen from the salts of at least one alkali metal other than lithium.
