Procedure to predict, in vitro, in a blood sample, the probability for a patient to evolve into severe dengue, in which: a) the amount of at least one marker that is leucine-rich in alpha-2 glycoprotein is determined in said blood sample, b) the amount of leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein determined in stage a) is purchased with a reference amount of said marker obtained from a group of individuals who were diagnosed as suffering from dengue non-severe, in which if the amount of leucine-rich alpha-2 glycoprotein determined in stage a) is greater than the reference amount established in stage b), the patient is predicted to evolve into severe dengue.
