A computer system that facilitates access to stored data according to a hierarchical representation, in which a security policy is associated with each data or data container in the hierarchical representation, comprising: a query component (102) adapted to query data stored to provide data aggregation that encompasses multiple container hierarchies with heterogeneous security policies; and a row level security component (104) adapted to filter the aggregation of data based on at least one row level access permission of a principal to provide a resulting data set that is all data throughout the hierarchical representation for which the at least one row level access permission of the principal satisfies the data security policy.
