The present invention solves the HYBRID PROBLEM OF THE RECEIVED SIGNAL STRENGTH (RSS) AND THE 3-D LOCATION ANGLE OF ARRIVAL OF THE US TARGET IN NETWORKS OF COOPERATIVE WIRELESS SENSORS, GETTING TO KNOW OR NOT THE ENGINE TRANSMISSION POWER. A NEW CONVEX ESTIMATOR IS PROPOSED THAT BY APPROPRIATE RELAXATION TECHNIQUE ALLOWS A SEMIDEFINITE PROGRAMMING -SDP PROGRAMMING ESTIMATOR FOR 3-D LOCATION. A NEW OBJECTIVE FUNCTION IS DEVELOPED NON-CONVEX FROM THE RSS AND AOA MODELS. THE NON-CONNECTED OBJECTIVE FUNCTION OBTAINED CAN BE TRANSFORMED INTO A CONVEX FUNCTION, THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF SDP RELAXING TECHNIQUES. FOR THE CASE IN WHICH IT IS NOT KNOWN THERE IS A PROCESS IN THREE STEPS, IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THE ACCURACY OF THE ESTIMATE. FOR ALL THE SCENARIOS CONSIDERED, THE NEW ESTIMATORS PRESENTED GOOD PERFORMANCE AND ROBUSTNESS TO PT'S AWARE.
