The translucid diffusion photo-bioreactor system prevents cell damage from microorganisms, caused by the movement of the culture medium, thereby favoring the growth of cyanobacteria or micro-algae and capturing carbon dioxide. The collapsible photo-bioreactor system possesses a piping assembly. Said pipe assembly consists of a transparent, translucent polymeric material of a length higher than 20 cm and with a diameter of not more than 20 cm. At least four pipes form the piping assembly, one-half thereof arranged in a vertical form and the other half arranged with a slope affordable to go up 0° to 45°, thereby being arranged sequentially and in parallel, interconnected between them at their upper and lower ends. All of this allows facilitating to remove the pipes assembly for cleaning, thus removing the biofilm formed by the microalgae or cyanobacteria, enabling the system lightening and the productivity improvement.
