The present invention relates in particular to a motor-driven control device for controlling a switch associated with a grounding disconnector, a control mechanism of the switch, and a control mechanism of the grounding disconnector, a motor and gearbox unit (49) being made up of an electric motor and a gearbox (48), said gearbox (48) comprising at least one first gearwheel (52) in engagement with a shaft of the motor and at least one second gearwheel (50) in engagement with the control mechanism, and means for transmitting rotation of the first gearwheel to the second gearwheel, at least one of the elements of the gearbox (48) chosen from among the first gearwheel, the second gearwheel (50), and the means for transmitting rotation from the first gearwheel to the second gearwheel (50) being suitable for being removed and for being put back into place so as to interrupt, or, respectively, so as to re-establish a power drive train from the electric motor (4 6) to the control mechanism. Removing the gearwheel (50) makes it possible to uncover the orifices for manually controlling the switch. Figure 7A
