CONTROLLABLE ELECTRIC REACTOR WITH TRANSVERSE MAGNETIZATION

The invention relates to electrical technology and to apparatuses with transverse magnetization. A controllable electric reactor with transverse magnetization contains a magnetic core rod in the form of coaxially disposed rings which are made of electrical steel and which are separated by non magnetic gaps and a primary network coil. A control coil is connected to a controllable source of direct current. The axis of the control coil windings is located in a plane which is perpendicular to the axis of the primary network coil. At least one ring of the magnetic core rod is made of insulated strips of electrical steel wound along the circumference of a ring of the magnetic core rod in the direction of rolling. The control coil is in the form of at least one section having windings which are wound around one ring of the rod in such a way that said windings are positioned in the non magnetic gaps between the rings of the magnetic core rods. Moreover the axis of each control coil winding is directed tangentially relative to the circumference which passes through the center of the ring of the magnetic core rod onto which same is wound.
