APPLICANT: SREE BALAJI MEDICAL COLLEGE & HOSPITAL, BIHER- BHARATH UNIVERSITY TITLE: BIO- SYNTHESIS OF EGG ALBUMIN DOPED ZINC OXIDE NANOPARTICLES FOR BIOMEDICAL APPLICATIONS ABSTRACT The present invention shall disclose a novel, environmentally benign, cost effective and simple method for bio- synthesis of Egg albumin doped Zinc oxide nanoparticles for various biomedical applications,using egg albumin as a novel reducing agent. The bio- synthesis comprises of adding freshly extracted egg albumin solution to Zinc acetate solution followed by adjusting the pH to form Zinc hydroxide solution in which the zinc acetate solution is reduced to Zinc hydroxide solution by characterized novel reducing agent, egg albumin. Then isothermally reacting the Zinc hydroxide solution at predetermined reaction conditions to obtain Egg albumin doped Zinc oxide nanoparticles powder.
