摘要

In metro cities, a huge crowd of shoppers in malls has become a common phenomenon. Situation is worse pn holidays and week-ends. Buyers select articles of their choice from various counters and keep putting them in the trolley. Separate billing counters are set-up in malls and the billing is done with the use of a bar code scanner. This process of billing takes time and makes people stand in queues for extended periods. To avoid inconvenience to shoppers, who are of various age groups, we are developing a system named Intelligent Trolley System with the use of RFID and ZIGBEE module5. In the Intelligent Trolley System, in place of barcodes, RFID tags will be used. Each and every product available in the mall will have RFID Tags. Whenever a product is placed into the trolley, RFID reader will scan the same and the name of the product, its value and total cost will be displayed on the LCD display. LCD display in the trolley, using the ZIGBEE transmitter, will be in a position to transfer data to the main computer. ZIGBEE receiver will be placed at the maiii computer, which will receive data from transmitter.
