ABSTRACT Wave Energy Harnessing Techniques using a Modified structure of Oscillating Water Column The invention discloses a modified structure of Oscillating water column to harness wave energy more efficiently. The proposed OWC allows air from a dedicated inlet with a check valve system that traps the air inside the column while the sea water falls down. The rise of water column forces the trapped air into air chamber through a dedicated inlet and stored in the air container. The air will pass as a steady flow by using control valve for running the unidirectional turbine. In this approach, the air is trapped from one side and released to another direction. The air container acts as a storage for running the turbine through a steady flow to avoid the rise and fall of air energy in the column, thereby the generator can run at a steady flow without interruption.
