The present invention relates to a new seismic simulator that simulates a vibration in six degrees of freedom. The seismic simulator can be used for testing products which are subject to vibration during use or for simulating an environmental including vibration for testing of structures. The seismic simulator is proposed based on 3- Rotary Prismatic Rotary and Spherical (RPRS), six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) parallel mechanism. The seismic simulator has 6 actuators, three of which are linear actuators and the remaining three are rotary actuators.
