The invention is related to a method for production of mineral wool for heat-insulating and noise-insulating materials in civil engineering. The method uses a plant comprising an internal centrifuging device including a centrifuge (11) rotatable about an axis X, in particular, a vertical axis, and having in its side surface (12) a plurality of holes (17) for discharge of molten material filaments, a drawing device using a high-temperature gas stream, made in the form of a ring nozzle (20) that provides filament drawing to form fibres, and a receiver conveyor (50) connected to an aspiration fibre receiver device. To produce heat-insulating material based on mineral fibres that are especially thin and have improved heat insulation properties, the method includes control of combinations of parameters including at least the following: nozzle pressure from 450 to 750 mm H2O, centrifuge rotational speed higher than 2000 rpm, and amount of fibres drawn through the centrifuge holes per day not more than 0.5 kg; elements reflecting and/or absorbing infrared radiation are deposited onto the fibres; and speed of the transfer belt abutting upon the receiver conveyor is set higher than speed of said receiver conveyor.
