Also described is a method and network application function (36) to authenticate a client (34) of a generic boot architecture, gaa, for the network application function, naf (36). in addition, naf (36), requiring that the presence of the authorized user be confirmed, sends a single use denoted by nonce_ui, in which ui represents "user involvement". nonce_ui explicitly indicates that user involvement is required.
