The present invention relates to a method and a device for optimizing a sound signal belonging to the field of voice signal processing. The method is used in a terminal that includes at least two sound collection units and includes: positioning (102, 202) sound sources around the terminal through at least two sound collection units; filtering (104) a designated sound source from respective sound sources determined by positioning; determining (106, 206) a sound signal emitted from the designated sound source from the sound signals collected by the terminal according to a spatial position of the designated sound source acquired through positioning; and optimizing (108) a volume of the beep emitted from the designated sound source. In the present description, by collecting sound signals by filtering out peripheral sound sources and optimizing the sound signal emitted from the filtered sound source, the effect of collecting the sound signal by the terminal is enhanced.
