Abstract "Oligomer-grafted nano-fill composition, method for producing an oligomer-grafted nano-fill, method for depositing oligomer-grafted nano-fill in a polymeric matrix, method for producing a composite and article" The present invention relates to compositions of Oligomer-grafted nanofills and composites including oligomer-grafted nanofills. an oligomer-grafted nanofill composition for disposal in a polymeric matrix, the polymeric matrix comprising polymers derived from a plurality of polymerizable units may include a nanoparticle, one or more nanoparticle-linked coupling groups; and one or more oligomers attached to one or more coupling groups. in one embodiment, the oligomer is derived from two or more polymerizable units, with at least one polymerizable unit being at least substantially similar to at least one of the polymerizable matrix polymerizable units. In another embodiment, the oligomer comprises two or more polymerizable units and enhances dispersion, interfacial resistance or both dispersion and interfacial resistance between the nanoparticle and the polymer matrix. composites and methods are also revealed.
