Summary Stevia plants with increased rebaudioside d content The present invention relates to plants and plant generation methods having an increased rebaudioside d content and other desirable characteristics. it has been observed that rebaudioside d (rebd) has desirable sweetening properties, and consequently it has been desirable to produce stevia strains, cultivars and plant varieties with defined glycoside profiles where rebd is high based on the total weight of stevia leaves, relative to other glycosides (e.g., reba or stevioside) or both.
