Patent specification: "Distributed avionic system and method for handling support system in an avionic system". The present invention relates to a distributed avionic system (100, 500) having multiple computer nodes arranged to execute multiple partitions / applications (p1, p2, p3, p4, p5, p6). The distributed avionic system comprises reconfiguration devices (332) arranged to reconfigure the distributed avionic system upon failure detection on at least one of the computer nodes, each partition / application being associated with an application / partition availability level. reconfiguration devices are arranged to reconfigure the distributed avionics system based on partition / application partition / application availability levels (p1, p2, p3, p4, p5, p6). The present invention further relates to a method for handling a support system in a distributed avionic system having multiple computer nodes (a, b, c).
