PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an item selection support device or the like capable of improving the quality of a recommended message such as a review.;SOLUTION: The item selection support device includes: a message processing section 213 for, when receiving a request of a recommended message of an item designated by a user terminal 1, acquiring recommended message information corresponding to the item designated by the user terminal 1 from a message storage section 23 by referring to association information stored in an association information storage section 24, and for transmitting the acquired recommended message information to the user terminal 1; and a point processing section 214 for receiving recommended message specification information for registering reply message information replied by a browsing use user who has used the item on the basis of the recommended message information as recommended message information from the user terminal 1; and for giving points to the predetermined number of preceding use users who have entered the recommended message information in which the reply message information is registered in association as the recommended message information on the basis of the recommended message specification information.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
