In the present invention, with an entire supply chain as the subject, the management cost is evaluated in accordance with the number of sites contained in a supply group, and a supply group is calculated under that the premise that the supply of products can be received from another supply group under conditions differing from within the supply group. This device for assisting the determination of a supply group considers suppliers, factories, warehouses, or markets to be sites that are the subject of supply plan formulation, and combines and groups same as a supply group. The device has a configuration provided with: a storage unit that stores supply information containing a plurality of records resulting from associating information pertaining to the sites that are arrival destinations, information pertaining to the sites that are shipment sources, and the transportation lead time or transportation cost between sites; and a supply group determination unit that considers the transportation lead time or transportation cost of the supply information stored at the storage unit to be an evaluation value, and groups each site into a plurality of groups by grouping the sites that are the arrival destinations and the sites that are the shipment sources of the plurality of records on the basis of the magnitude of the evaluation value.
