PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a polyvinyl alcohol film having a low Young's modulus and to provide a polyvinyl alcohol film having a low Young's modulus that can be produced by the production method.;SOLUTION: The production method of a polyvinyl alcohol film treated with electromagnetic waves includes a step of irradiating a polyvinyl alcohol film having a moisture content of 15 to 55 mass% with microwaves or radio waves while the film is maintained at a temperature of 75°C or lower. The polyvinyl alcohol film irradiated with electromagnetic waves is produced by the production method. The polyvinyl alcohol film has a content of a polyhydric alcohol plasticizer of 15 pts.mass or less with respect to 100 pts.mass of polyvinyl alcohol, and shows a Young's modulus of 20.0 MPa or less when the moisture content is controlled to 8 to 10 mass%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
