A ratchet (50) of a reclining mechanism having an annular internal tooth gear (54) supported so as to be tiltable with respect to a base plate and facing a base plate and surrounding a recessed portion, is provided on the back side of the ratchet (50) A back side annular portion (60) in which the outer peripheral surface is positioned in the radial position between the pitch circle of the internal gear (54) and the addendum circle is formed. As a result, it is possible to form the internal gear (54) with high precision, reduce the size of the ratchet (50), and improve the durability of the metal mold for forming the internal gear (54).
