PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means in which a point suitable for growth of coral in a sea area can be predicted and evaluated with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A coral habitat suitability evaluation method is provided for evaluating suitability as a coral habitat. The coral habitat suitability evaluation method includes a step of evaluating the suitability based on the bottom track flow rate amplitude of a significant wave in a candidate point defined by a location and a water depth. The suitability as the coral habitat is evaluated based on the bottom track flow rate amplitude of the significant wave in the candidate point, and thereby the suitability evaluation in the water depth direction at each position in a sea area is made possible, and the point suitable for the growth of the coral can be predicted and evaluated with high accuracy. Also, the suitability may be evaluated based on a habitat suitability index. In that case, the habitat suitability index is calculated by using each suitability index model of the significant wave bottom track flow rate amplitude, a flow rate vector average absolute value, a maximum significant wave bottom track flow rate amplitude, a residual flow rate, and an amount of photon.
