PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Li-based ferrite for a microwave-absorption heating element which is arranged so that a heat-up stop temperature can be appropriately selected in a temperature region of 550-700°C higher than conventional one.SOLUTION: A Li-based ferrite for a microwave-absorption heating element comprises, as basic components, 15.5-18.0 mol% of a lithium oxide in terms of LiO, and 82.0-84.5 mol% of an iron oxide in terms of FeO. The Li-based ferrite further comprises 0.1-10 pts.mass of a bismuth oxide to 100 pts.mass of the lithium oxide and the iron oxide in total in terms of BiO.
