PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component, a sub-assembly, a system and/or a method for an infinite variable transmission (IVT) including a variator with a plurality of inclined spherical planets.;SOLUTION: A variator 200 includes a plurality of planet arrays 222A, and a hydraulic system is configured to control a ratio of a transmission in the IVT. Various idler assemblies and a planet-pivot arm assembly 220 are available to promote adjustment of the speed ratio of the transmission in the IVT. Embodiments of a transmission housing and a bell housing are adaptable to surround components of the IVT, and operation and/or functionality of the IVT can be supported in cooperation with other components of the IVT. Various associated devices include e.g., a control feedback mechanism, an axial force generation and management mechanism, a control valve integrated with an input shaft 210, a rotatable carrier 215 configured to support the planet-pivot arm assembly 220, and the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
