PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for image formation that can provide stable image quality over a long period of use.;SOLUTION: There is provided a carrier including at least a core material particle formed of a magnetic material and a coating layer on a surface of the core material particle, where the coating layer contains at least a resin, carbon black, and two types of inorganic fine particles A and B; the inorganic fine particle A and carbon black have a concentration gradient in the thickness direction; the concentration of the inorganic fine particle A increases and the concentration of the carbon black decreases toward a surface layer of the coating layer; the volume ratio of the carbon black is 0% or more and 30% or less in a depth range of 0.0 to 0.1 μm from the surface of the coating layer; and the inorganic fine particle A is a conductive fine particle having a powder specific resistance of 200 Ω cm or less.;SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1;COPYRIGHT: (C)2017,JPO&INPIT
