PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removal technique of an existent bridge for removing the bridge in a short time and while minimizing influences exerted upon the surroundings.SOLUTION: On an existent bridge girder 1 provided for overhead crossing of an overpass 71 to a vehicle traveling road or the like 72, an erection beam 2 such as an erection girder is fed out and disposed by utilizing a space of the overpass 71. The existent bridge girder 1 is supported by the erection beam 2 through a temporary suspension beam 6 and a suspension steel bar 5 disposed in an axial direction of the existent bridge girder 1 in a predetermined pitch. The existent bridge girder 1 is cut into a plurality of girder blocks 1b so as to include a pair of neighboring temporary suspension beams 6 (suspension steel bars 5). A lower suspension metal fitting 13 is fitted to a pair of temporary suspension beams 6 of the girder block 1b and individually lifted by a movable lift device 3, the connection of the suspension steel bars 5 at the side of the erection beam 2 is canceled, loaded onto a vehicle waiting on the overpass 71 or the vehicle traveling road or the like 72 and removed.
