PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a reflux type bill storage device configured to carry in/out bills to/from a bill storage part by a separation roller pair, failure occurs due to such an arrangement that a sweeper is arranged on the separation roller pair side.SOLUTION: A reflux type bill storage device includes: a pair of separation rollers 52 arranged in a bill carrying in/out part 2a; a pair of conveyance rollers 60 arranged on an upstream side in a payment direction of the separation roller pair with a derivation/introduction passage A1, which is shorter than longitudinal lengths of bills, located between the separation roller pair; and a bill pressing member 70 that has an operating piece 75 freely vertically moving on a position not interfering with the separation roller pair in a conveyance space between the separation roller pair and the conveyance roller pairs. The operating piece lowers when a rear part projected by being nipped with the separation roller pair retreats downward from the derivation/introduction passage, and holds the rear part of a payment bill at a retreat position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
