PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the efficiency of correction work on design specification meta-information when an item or layout written in a design specification is changed.SOLUTION: Provided is a design specification input/output device including a processor and a memory, for processing a spreadsheet format design specification, comprising: a design specification meta-information generation control unit for inputting a design specification template and first design specification meta-information, determining a start row and a start column of an item name written in the inputted design specification template and a value correlated to the item name, acquiring an English item name corresponding to the item name from a preset design item dictionary, acquiring additional information subordinate to the item name from the first design specification meta-information, and generating second design specification meta-information taking over the content of the design specification template, the English item name and the additional information; and a superimposed display unit for outputting at least one of the item name and the additional information at a position indicating the start row and the start column of the second design specification meta-information on top of the design specification template.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
