PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic receipt system with which it is possible to efficiently present information relating to a closeout commodity to customers using an electronic receipt.SOLUTION: A POS device 2 generates an electronic receipt in a format that includes closeout information indicating a discount, and makes it preserved by an electronic receipt center 3. When there is an inquiry from a portable terminal 1 about the presence of a nearby store where sale of a closeout commodity in a designated commodity field is predicted, the electronic receipt center 3 searches preserved electronic receipts, extracts an electronic receipt with which a closeout commodity relating to the designated commodity field in the nearby store at the current location of the portable terminal 1 is purchased, classifies them by store, by reason and by time slot and generates information including a closeout commodity and a discount rate whose reason matches the current season and the start of closeout sale of which falls within a predetermined time from the current time of day, as closeout prediction information predicted to be sold at a discount price, and transmits it to the portable terminal 1 that is the source of inquiry.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
