PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing facility of waste water of optical fiber production capable of efficiently recovering Ge contained in waste water of optical fiber production.SOLUTION: A processing facility of waste water of optical fiber production includes a dust collector for making waste water containing Ge and Si, a pH adjusting tank for adjusting pH of the waste water, a filter tank that is filled with chelate fiber to adsorb Ge in the pH-adjusted water and filters Ge off from the pH-adjusted water to produce filtrate, a coagulosettling tank for coagulosettling Si in the filtrate, an adjusted water flow channel where the pH-adjusted water flows from the pH adjusting tank to the filter tank, a filtrate flow channel where the filtrate passing through the filter tank flows to the coagulosettling tank side, an acid solution flow channel where an acid solution to desorb Ge adsorbed by the chelate fiber flows to the filter tank, a Ge recovering channel where a Ge-containing solution containing Ge desorbed from the chelate fiber flows, and a switching device for opening one of the adjusted water flow channel and the filtrate flow channel or the acid solution flow channel and the Ge recovering channel and closing the other, according to the kind of solution that flows to the filter tank.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
