PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for optimum energy saving operation, without sacrifice of the processing performance of a processing apparatus, while taking account of the type of an object to be processed.SOLUTION: Each of multiple processing apparatus 5 has, as the operation mode, a standby mode consuming energy for starting the processing of an object to be processed quickly, and a sleep mode consuming minimum energy for transiting to the standby mode quickly. A production efficiency improvement device 4 has a time interval measurement section 31 for measuring the time interval after each of multiple processing apparatus has ended processing of the object to be processed until starting next processing, based on the production planning of the multiple processing apparatus, and an operation mode setting section 32 for setting a corresponding processing apparatus to the sleep mode, when the time interval measured in the time interval measurement section exceeds a predetermined reference time, otherwise setting a corresponding processing apparatus to the standby mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
