A method for a game show featuring a stage (14), at least two contestants (18), a host (17) and a contestant viewing screen (25), and a chance selecting means (19). The chance selecting means, which may be a pack of cards, die, spinning wheel or ball selecting machine, allows one of the contestants to randomly select a games module, category or mini-game to play next. Also claimed is a method for a board game featuring a path with path steps, a token and a chance selector. A board game participant interacts with chance selecting means, which may be a pack of cards, to randomly determine which category, module or mini-game to play next. The board game is providing with a recording means and scoring means for the participants answers. A mobile app allowing a user to randomly select one of two categories of game to play and provided with a recording, scoring, validating, timing and reward means is also claimed.
