The present invention relates to a method for determining the allergenic potential of allergenic floral pollen collected by the bee included in a given dose of a product containing said allergenic floral pollen, in particular product of the hive or composition containing it, characterized in that the following steps are carried out in which: a) all the different types of floral pollen contained in said dose of said product are isolated, and b) the weight of each type of said allergenic floral pollen is identified and determined, and c) for each of the n allergenic floral pollen types pi with i = 1 to n an allergen potential index APIS pi is assigned as APIS pi = 10 x di with Log10 (di) = Ai Log10 (Mi) + Bi with i = 1 to n in which: - Mi is the mass of said allergenic floral pollen type pi, - Ai and Bi are specific constants according to the said types of pollen allergens pi.
